When you like to munch on crackers as much as I do, you learn that it’s far better to start making your own. Why? Because it’s no rocket science, yet the difference between homemade and store-bought is significant. Both health and taste-wise.

I’ve recently started using spelt flour. It turns out to be very easy to manoeuvre. When mixed with water, it becomes sticky and elastic. In other words, very easy to shape and fold and perfect for beginners. This has made many dishes and snacks very simple for me. Check out my list of fantastic entrees based on spelt flour.

To enrich these crunchy spelt crackers with more nutrients, add seeds such as sesame, flax, even sunflower if you like.

So, when you crave some salty snacks, these crunchy spelt crackers are a perfect option. Enjoy them with homemade hummus or a creamy onion & oregano dip.
